It is time to get involved.
Do you remember the last time you actually voted for a school board member? I couldn't, and then I went to a meeting and discovered our zone, #4, was vacant! Unfortunately, there had been so little interest in these positions that most of our nine board members had to be appointed as no one would run.
We have seen in the news that school boards are becoming front and center. I believe that it is imperative that we have elected officials, not special interest appointees.
Here are the agenda items I intend to focus on;
- Transparency in School District 2
- Parental Rights
- Cutting waste and prioritizing spending
- Promoting our system of government, our history, and our religious freedoms
- Finding opportunities for our children
- Monitoring the actions of the Superintendent
- Watching for the infringement of rights, laws, and decency.
